BLACK FLAG
BLACK FLAG was formed in 1977. The guitarist GREG GINN, a UCLA graduate, formed the band with bassist CHUCK DUKOWSKI, later drummer BRIAN MIGDOL and vocalist KEITH MORRIS joined the duo. In 1978, MORRIS quit to form the CIRCLE JERKS and CHAVO PEDERAST replaced him on vocals until 1981. After his departure, HENRY ROLLINS replaced him on vocals. The band invented the Hardcore Punk sound that most Punk bands emulated in the 80s and 90s. Their lyrics alluded to social criticism and a political point-of-views.
