CRAMPS, THE
THE CRAMPS were born in 1975 when the singer ERIC PURKHISER (alias LUX INTERIOR) and the ex-porn actress/guitarist KRISTY WALLACE (alias POISON IVY) got together. They popularised the term "Psychobilly", which includes the sound of Rockabilly mixes with the sixties Punk. They also have instrumental Rock, Surf, Rock ‘N’ Roll and Blues in their great music. The psychotic and demonic style of THE CRAMPS is influenced by the horror b-movies, junk culture, urban alienation and black humour.
