D.R.I.
The DIRTY ROTTEN IMBECILES (D.R.I.) was formed in 1982 in the city of Houston, Texas. They were one of the first bands to fuse Hardcore Punk with Thrash Metal. Starting off as a speedy, straight-ahead Punk band, they gradually mixed more elements of Heavy Metal into their sound. At first, the band was composed of SPIKE CASSIDY (guitar), KURT BRECHT (vocals), ERIC BRECHT (drums, later he joined the band HIRAX), and DENNIS JOHNSON (bass).
